The Ninth Annual Arizona Irish Festival celebrates Ireland in all its many faces and expressions: old and new, across the pond and in our own backyard. Did you know that some half a million Arizonans are of Irish descent? … and we sometimes think all the rest want to be...at least at the Festival!

Nov. 5 -8 Ballet Arizona Presents Swan Lake With the Phoenix Symphony at Symphony Hall

Ballet Arizona opens its 2009-2010 season with Swan Lake. This stunning production of the world-renowned classic, with choreography by artistic director Ib Andersen and Olga Evreinoff, after Petipa/Ivanov, will captivate and enchant audiences of all ages.

Swan Lake is a timeless masterpiece of classical ballet, featuring a moonlit lake, swan maidens, and true love. Accompanied by one of Tchaikovsky’s most famous and memorable scores, Swan Lake tells the story of Prince Siegfried’s love for Odette, a beautiful princess turned into a swan by a sorcerer’s curse. With gorgeous sets, elegant costumes, and the world-class dancers of Ballet Arizona, Swan Lake is sure to enchant audiences of all ages with its story, beauty, and splendor.

Fountain Hills Youth Theater Show “Whowhatwhenwhyhow?!”

What happens when popular “youth–sleuths” of literature are invited to an infamous mansion to attend a murder party hosted by Sherlock Holmes? Throw in a mysterious dwarf, a blind but sinister butler and a busload of red herrings and you have a rollicking good time!

Western ArtWalk Strides into Scottsdale, Oct. 15



Welcome to "ArtWalk The Line" at Downtown Scottsdale Event


The 20th annual Western ArtWalk strides back into town on Thursday, Oct. 15 from 7-9pm, turning back the cultural clock to when Scottsdale was "the West’s most Western town." Each year, the Scottsdale Arts District recalls the good old days with a roundup of great cowboy art and sweeping Southwestern landscapes along Main Street, Marshall Way, Stetson and Sixth Avenue.
Headlining the music lineup are western singers, OK Chorale. Also on hand will be Scottsdale’s “singing cowboy” Gary Sprague and his trusty steed, Dusty, pop-country by Mary Hoffman, plus a stellar “Soliloquies” lineup with solo singer-songwriters Jeordie and Graham Brimhall.Scottsdale ArtWalk can be found just west of Scottsdale Road along Main Street to Goldwater Blvd. and on Marshall Way north of Indian School Road to 5th Avenue, Stetson and 6th Avenue. The Western ArtWalk is a free event with plenty of nearby free parking, and easy access to local hotels or famed Scottsdale eateries.
