Celebrate the music and dance of India with performances, workshops, food, and more! This year’s Indian SpringFest will features performances by world-renowned santoor player Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya and Odissi dance guru Sanchita Bhattacharya.  Join us for dance and music workshops throughout the day and an Indian dinner in the Arcosanti CafĂ© before the performance.  A complimentary tour of Arcosanti at 5pm is included in the ticket price.
SCHEDULE:
1 pm: Odissi Dance Workshop - Learn the basics of this yoga-inspired Indian dance with Guru Sanchita Bhattacharya - $10 ($5 for students)

3 pm: Music Workshop -  Learn about Indian music and instruments with Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya - $10 ($5 for students)

5 pm: Tour of Arcosanti - FREE (with tickets)

6 pm: Indian Dinner - $20 (reservations required)

7:30 pm: Concert - $20 ($10 for students)
Santoor Maestro Pt Tarun Bhattacharya, India’s Global Music Ambassador, is a pioneering and revolutionary classical musician. 

He is one of the most celebrated torch bearers of Indian classical music, and has traversed the globe many times over performing in various awe inspiring venues around the world like Royal Albert Hall, Palace-de-beaux (Brussels), Theater- De-La-Viile (France), Apollo Theatre (Spain), Jubilee Auditorium (Canada), Kremlin (Russia). His mesmerized list of admirers includes Prince Charles, George Harrison, and other respected figures.

THE BIG RADIO BROADCAST OF 1941

At Fountain Hills Theater
The Midwest radio station WOLD is about to ‘go national’ with their first ever broadcast of national radio programs.  The owner of the station has mortgaged and borrowed everything to make it happen, but a massive blizzard downs the transmission lines and there is no feed…but they can still broadcast!  With the station’s very existence riding on this one night, four stranded station employees decide to recreate the entire evening’s broadcast from inside the snowbound studio!
